The W. M. Keck Optical Measurement Laboratory provides a suite of general purpose optical measurement and characterization instruments to the researchers at JILA. The Keck Lab also manages JILA's micro and nano fabrication facilities. The Keck Lab was designed to support research at JILA, but under certain conditions the facility is also available to other University of Colorado researchers and local industry. A set of policies has been set up to help maintain the Keck Lab as a useful facility for its user community.




The Keck Lab is a central facility currently at JILA. JILA is a multidisciplinary institute operated jointly by the University of Colorado at Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). JILA researchers have produced innovative developments in lasers and optical science and use laser technology in fundamental research in physics and chemistry.
