Routine maintenance on the instruments in the JILA Keck lab will be performed by JILA technical staff as part of their normal duties.

Problems with any instrument should be recorded in the comments section of log book and the lab manager should be made aware of the problem.

Under no circumstances should modifications to an instrument or a software upgrade be made without the permission of the lab manager.

The cost of repairs necessary because of damage from improper use of an instrument will be charged to the group of the user responsible for the damage.
