Failure to observe the User Eligibilities and Conditions of Use or failure to provide the resources necessary for repairing damaged equipment can result in loss of the privilege to use the Keck lab for an entire group.

The following sanctions will be used if the conditions of use are not observed:

• First occurrence: Notification to user and adviser/group leader.
• Second occurrence: Suspension of user privileges for 6 months and notification to adviser.
• Third occurrence: Permanent suspension of user privileges and suspension of group privileges for 6 months or termination of the individuals employment at JILA.

Determination that a user has failed to comply will be made by the lab manager.

Failure to observe safety precautions can result in immediate and permanent loss of privilege.
