Containing a variety of optical measurement and characterization instruments, as well as tools for micro and nanofabrication, the Keck Lab provides users access to equipment vital to conducting research at one of the nation's leading research institutes in the physical sciences.

The Keck Lab is a central facility at JILA encompassing the W. M. Keck Optical Measurements Laboratory and the JILA Micro and Nanofabrication Facility. The Keck Lab was designed to support research at JILA, but under certain conditions the facility is also available to other University of Colorado/NIST researchers and non-CU entities. Policies have been set up to help maintain the Keck Lab as a useful facility for its user community. Consult the Forms page for new user requests.

JILA is a multidisciplinary institute operated jointly by the University of Colorado at Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). JILA researchers have produced innovative developments in lasers and optical science and use laser technology in fundamental research in physics and chemistry.
