Descriptions of the instruments and equipment in each facility are available below.
The JILA Keck lab manager is responsible for maintaining the instruments and equipment and helping users. If you are interested in learning to use a specific instrument, please contact the lab manager. Users must be checked out on each instrument before they are allowed to use it.
Tutorials are available to provide training on the instruments. There is an hourly charge for instruction.
The metrology lab is located in S105 and houses optical and surface characterization instruments, as well as optical fiber tooling.
The clean room is located in X131 and houses micro and nanofabrication equipment and a scanning electron microscope.
The chemistry and dicing room is located in X110 and houses two fume hoods, a tube furnace, and dicing saws.
